Harry Potter Owl (Hedwig Prop) Harry Potter Owl (Hedwig Prop)

Reviews

It's a cute prop but it really needs to be propped up on something. I knew it didn't come with something to stand it on, but I thought it would be able to stand by itself and it did not. I am not trying to deter anyone from buying this, it is cute. Just be advised that if a person wants to prop it up on something, they'll have to go to a craft store and make something to put it on. That is what I did.

Hedwig is, as stated, a prop. If you buy it as part of a child's "Harry Potter" costume, or if you are an adult Potter fan who just enjoys the idea of having Hedwig in your office staring at you, this is good value for the price (since it is only $10). If you purchase it thinking that it is a toy for a child to play with, you will be disappointed. You are better served searching for a plush Hedwig.

I was dissapointed in the 3 items I bought for a friend's child's birthday. They were of poor quality and probably won't last even as long as the movie is out! The lantern was very cheap plastic and the handle came right off, the owl was sort of like styrofoam covered with feathers and just not of great, long-term quality. Don't waste your money. I had to give it to the kid or pay a lot for return shipping and have his present delayed even longer.

Disappointed in this company. Items never arrived and the company never called to let me know. They refunded my money, but I would have rather had the merchandise. Items were for a theme birthday party. Son pretty disappointed.

This was the only thing my daughter asked for for Christmas. It was broken coming out of the box and never worked. The item itself was cheap, flimsy and poorly cast. The plastic pieces didn't fir together well, the seams were ragged and the battery case next to impossible to open. Once again, I wish Amazon would give the option of zero stars as one star implies there is something worthwhile about it.

My 8 year old daughter received this gift for Christmas. She adored it but it immediately broke. The internal piece that holds the battery contact broke during shipping. We got a new one from Amazon - they were great about customer service!! WIthin 24 hours, the replacement had broken too, same place. My daughter is not hard on her toys; this broke just from swiping the wand through the air. If it had stayed intact, I can tell you that the motion sensor would have driven us crazy, as it makes wand noises with minimal vibration. But she still loves it - even silent...

I got this for dd2's birthday today. She took one look and knew it was not what she wanted - she wanted something more authentic looking. This is a costume prop - she wants a quality toy. I should have known that you "get what you pay for" but I overpaid - $10 for a dollar store item, IMO. In fact, I remember buying something like this (on sale) for just $1 or $2 for dd#1 a few years ago (without the fancy box). But I was in a hurry and this looked like it would "do the trick." Not only does it look cheap close up, BUT, we couldn't get the battery compartment open to put batteries in. Either the screw never worked or I stripped it, even tho I keep 2 little phillips head screwdrivers specifically for opening battery compartments on toys and they work on everything else. It's so recessed I can't really see what the problem is. So, she was willing to give the substandard wand a try, but no go - we couldn't get the batteries in. it's back in the box and it's going to be returned. BTW, the package I got (not from ordering here) is similar, but it's silver - not green and yellow. so don't let slightly different packaging fool you. I don't really have money to toss, but she wants "the real thing" either the higher-quality resin wand or the wood one - both run b/n $30-35 - a whole lot more money, but this just isn't worth the package it's overwrapped in. The "official" ones are made by Noble Collections or Alivans

We couldn't even open the battery compartment cause the screw is stripped! So, my child has a wand that doesn't light up or make any sounds..bad choice!

This wand is very cheaply made. Broke after a few hours. The wires for the light came off and we had to resouter them. Over all very disappointed in this product.

Harry Potter Quidditch Goggles Harry Potter Quidditch Goggles

Reviews

I am an adult who likes the Harry Potter world, and thus I searched for the Quidditch goggles. This brand is durable and the size is adjustable to fit anyone's head. The materials look like leather and strong plastic (though the buckle slide and the snitches on the sides are metal), and the clear lenses have 100% UV protection as a bonus! They seem only slightly oversized compared to the ones in the movies, but they are fun to wear nonetheless. I wear them almost every day, tipped up over my head instead of my eyes. People who don't know much about Harry Potter seem to think they are merely Steampunk goggles or something for flying an old-style plane. Very fun!

Elope makes nice quality items. I knew this would be worth the money when I saw that they had made it.

These Harry Potter Quidditch Goggles Officially Licensed were a huge hit with my Grandson for Halloween! He loved them and thats what counts!

Pretty convincing eye glasses. More durable than the last pair I bought for over $100 to actually see with. LOL

These glasses are made very well. In fact my son has played with them several times and they still look great. They were a great fit for his 6 yr. old face and looked so adorable!

My son wanted the Harry look and got it! The glasses are a little big for a 5 year old but very authentic and durable.

We have a bunch of Harry Potter fans in our family. So far these have been the best glasses we have purchased.

Our son really looks like Harry Potter in these glasses and they fit his face really well --he is 7 years old but is about the size of a 9 or 10 year old. They fit me, too, and I am small adult -I think they fit the target Harry Potter age group well. Very nice quality for a costume; the lenses even offer UV protection! The frames are like low quality regular glasses that you would get from glasses store.

Average Rating:

These Harry Potter glasses are the perfect accessory for any wizard-in-training! Whether you're learning to mix potions or playing Quidditch, these officially licensed spectacles will keep you in style at Hogwarts.
